Birthday Ride
As a birthday gift to myself, I took the day off and rode around town on my newly refurbished Ross cruiser. It has a 3 speed internal hub. It's pretty swift. The brakes currently sound like a witch singing opera, but otherwise it's perfect.
My destinations were all spa-related: facial, manicure, hair salon, dentist.

Wednesday Night
....was soggy and rainy. But fun.
I could probably copy/paste the title and little bit of text and post it for the past few months. Sigh.

Bike Swap
Last night's second annual VBC bike swap was a total success!
There were about 100 people there and 10 tables chock full of bike goodies. I sold almost everything on my table.
Lots of people approached me to say they liked how I handled the discontinuation of the mailed club newsletter. This has been a tough change for many members, so it was reassuring to finally hear some positive feedback.
I met the president of the PWTC - just imagine, the largest two area bike clubs both have women as presidents! She was very understanding about my February article where I poked fun at the wheelmen.
As always, I really feel "in my element" hanging around all these cyclists and geeking out on all things bike. I am looking forward to more of the same, but on bikes instead of in meeting rooms!

What's Important
Daffodils. They really are. Ok, all flowers are. Especially those that bloom early in Spring, luring us big smelly bears out of our moldy winter caves.
Tuesday night's ride was warm and dry, with countless flowers viewed, smelled and oohed and aaahed over.
What's not important? There's a question that gives me pause. I'd like to say "the opinions of others" but I'd be pretending. How about...folks that make other folks feel bad are unimportant. The ones that matter are those that build others up.
Deep thoughts!
