Bike Fun

Here's a list of rides I lead every year.  If there's no date listed, it's because the 2025 ride has happened already and the 2026 date is not yet set.  Two pretty consistent things about my rides are punctual departure times and a lack of store stops. So come on time and bring your snacks!

Southerly Ladies 

We'll explore a variety of southern routes on this monthly ride, which is usually small groups of 4-8 riders at a pace of 10-12-14mph.  We meet at the north end of the Trolley Trail at SE 17th & Ochoco and depart punctually at 10:10am.  No dudes, no e-bikes, no offense.  (This is the only ride I organize that does not welcome e-bikes).  

 

Caddyshack! *

Meet at the I-205 bike path where it meets the entry to the I-205 bridge path. Meet at noon, roll at 12:15pm.  First 25 riders get a spoke card.  We'll ride past golf courses over 25 mostly flat miles, at a pace of around 12-14mph with several regroup stops to keep the group together.  We'll have lunch at Heron Lakes Golf Club (no locks required). Trek to Two Bridge Loop *

Meet at the Trek store in Slabtown for coffee and donuts at 10am. Roll out at 10:30am on a 12-14mph paced road ride, crossing the two bridges over the Columbia River and enjoying the bike paths on each side. We'll finish where we started for a total of 40 miles. Midnight Mystery Ride Friday, May 8th, 2026, start location TBA.  At midnight, we ride!

Mompano Romp *

Meet at the north end of the Trolley Trail at SE 17th & Ochoco at 10am and depart punctually at 10:10am.  This will be a somewhat challenging road ride.  45 miles, 3000' of elevation gain.  Pace will be 12-14mph on the flats.  We'll have several regroup stops but riders slower than 12mph may be left behind.  Downloading the route is strongly advised (see link below). hill killerz lunch repeats 

Every Tuesday in June, July & August from 12:30pm-1pm.  Come play bikes on SE 52nd Avenue between Harney and Flavel. Earn a hill killerz sticker. 

hill killerz social rides 

Tuesday evening rides once a month in June, July and August.  Meet at the cowgirl mural at corner of SE 52nd near Flavel Drive at 6:15pm and roll punctually at 6:30pm.  Enjoy 11 miles of turning it up to 11 on little bitty hills.  Ends at Foster Food Carts and the start of the Foster Night Ride.

Swim Across Portland 

Meet at 10am, roll at 10:30am from Water Avenue Coffee, ride to a public outdoor pool (BRING $ 6 CASH), a public beach and a secret beach.  15 miles, not a loop, at a Pedalpalooza pace (8-10mph).  Stay behind the ride leader or stay home.

Bicycle Kitty Alley Catty 

Meet at Brentwood Park at 2:30pm, ready set go at 3pm. Ride or race bikes around Brentwood-Darlington, answering clues and earning bonus points.  Ends at Foster Food Carts with an after party and some small prizes.  No digital way-finding allowed, paper maps provided.  Bring a pen.

 

Pioneer Cemetery Tour * 

Sunday, October 26, 2025 - meet at Milwaukie Pioneer Cemetery at 11am, we'll roll out around 11:30am to visit 2 or 3 or 4 cemeteries (depending on weather). We'll ride at a 12-14 mph pace (except on hillz). Please stay behind the ride leader. 

 

* Seasonal Series - a themed road ride for each season
