2025 Bike Fun

Here's what's cookin for bike fun I'm organizing this year. I lead a variety of rides but two consistent things are punctual departure times and a lack of store stops. So come on time and bring your snacks!

Southerly Ladies - We'll explore a variety of southern routes on this monthly ride, which is usually small groups of 4-8 riders.  We meet at the north end of the Trolley Trail at SE 17th & Ochoco and depart punctually at 10:10am.  If you'd like to learn dates, just drop me an email to bicyclekitty@gmail.  New for this year - guest ride leaders and a slightly faster pace.  No dudes, no e-bikes, no offense.  (This is the only ride I organize that does not welcome e-bikes).

Trek to Two Bridge Loop  - Saturday April 12th - meet at the Trek store in Slabtown for coffee and donuts at 10am. Roll out at 10:30am on a medium-paced (12-14mph) road ride, crossing the two bridges over the Columbia River and enjoying the bike paths on each side. Mompano Romp - Sunday, June 22nd - meet at the north end of the Trolley Trail at SE 17th & Ochoco at 10am and depart punctually at 10:10am.  This will be a somewhat challenging road ride.  45 miles, 3000' of elevation gain.  Pace will be 12-14mph on the flats.  We'll have several regroup stops but riders slower than 12mph may be left behind.  Downloading the route is strongly advised (see link below). hill killerz lunch repeats - every Tuesday in June, July & August from 12:30pm-1pm.  Come play bikes on SE 52nd Avenue between Harney and Flavel. Earn a hill killerz sticker. 

hill killerz social rides - Tuesday evening rides (June 24, July 22, August 5) - meet at the top of SE 52nd near Flavel at 6:30pm and roll punctually at 6:45pm.  Enjoy 11 miles of turning it up to 11 on little bitty hills.  Ends at Portland Mercado with enough time to eat before joining the Foster Night Ride.

Swim Across Portland - DATE TBA. - meet at Water Avenue Coffee, then ride to a public outdoor pool (BRING 4$ CASH), a public beach and a secret beach.  

Bicycle Kitty Alley Catty - Saturday, August 2nd - meet at Brentwood Park at 2:30pm, ready set go at 3pm. Ride or race bikes around Brentwood-Darlington, answering clues and finding mystery spots.  Ends at Assembly Brewing with an after party and some small prizes.  No digital way-finding allowed, paper maps provided.  Bring a pen.

 

Pioneer Cemetery Tour - Sunday, October 26 - meet at Milwaukie Pioneer Cemetery at 11am, we'll roll out around 11:30am to visit 2 or 3 cemeteries. We'll ride at a 12-14 mph pace (except on hillz). Please stay behind the ride leader. Our 36 mile adventure takes us on a couple miles unpaved paths through woods, along with a section where carrying bikes over boulders will be required.
